One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said, “My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all.

One is Evil – It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good – It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

Your ideas and thoughts can become your reality. If it is a negative thought, it could be a virus which spreads into your mind. You would come to terms that your thoughts were the truth. You would find reasons to validate that truth. Neglecting any other argument that could prove it otherwise.

However, you could use this “virus” to benefit you. Put in effort in having a positive mindset. Dress well, keep healthy, smile. As they say, fake it until you become it. Confidence and happiness can be nurtured. It takes effort. Whenever a negative thought creeps it, you have to realise it. You have to stop it and change the thought. Don’t let yourself go down that road.

You deserve better than that.
